A Bit About Me!

I'm a mum, teacher, creator, dancer, ballet teacher, fitness instructor and founder of En Pointe Dance and Fitness

I began dancing at a young age, yet considered late for ballet, and over the years I progressively completed the grades of the Borovansky Syllabus.

I also began assistant teaching at the school I attended, and was then encouraged to complete my teaching certificate.

The lessons I had learning were always fun, imaginative but still informative and challenging. I create and deliver classes in the same way.

Miss Bethanie

aka Beej

I then travelled to New York, USA, and taught ballet and dance at a performing arts summer camp.

From there, I travelled to visit and then lived in Wales, UK, for a while, teaching ballet at a locally known school.

At this school, I taught the Cecchetti method and this has further expanded my ballet knowledge, taking exams myself while there. I also taught pre-pointe and beginner pointe to children and adults.

While living there, I discovered Turn'd Up Fitness; the sassiest, high-energy dance fitness class. Upon returning home, I completed the instructor training to offer Turn'd Up Fitness classes as well.

I aim to foster and develop a love of dance, as well as correct knowledge and understanding. I believe that ballet and dance teaches work ethic, discipline, perseverance, dedication, motivation, stamina, flexibility and strength.

As technical, challenging and hard work ballet and dance can be, it is still so graceful and emotive; to watch and dance.

Dance allows us to connect with our bodies. As we dance, we are thinking about and feeling every muscle through each movement and connecting to the music.

I look forward to meeting you in the studio.

Stay on point!
